Hello! I am so glad you are here. My name is Magdalena Sabatino.
I am an artist, holistic counselor and creative guide. After many years of searching, I have finally arrived at the sweet spot, where two of my biggest passions for creativity and healing meet, unite, and constantly enrich each other.
As a young woman, I had an insatiable thirst for understanding why we are the way we are, which propelled me onto an educational journey in human psychology and personal growth. It started in Warsaw, Poland, where I entered my Master’s degree in Psychology and ended in Newport, Rhode Island, where I earned my Master’s degree in Holistic Counseling from Salve Regina University.
Along the way, I also completed a certification in The Arts, Nature, and New Eco-Consciousness program, sponsored by The Expressive Arts Institute, which was one of the most deepening and transformative educational experiences I’ve ever had. But despite all the knowledge I was gaining, deep inside, there was still something missing. I felt unfulfilled and kept searching for that mysterious part of myself that would make me complete.
And then it happened… Quite accidentally, I stumbled upon an art class in mixed media and completely fell in love with it! It was as if, I was coming home back to myself, I was awakening that part of me that was always there but asleep for a very long time. I was becoming whole again.
Rediscovering my inner artist, was extremely healing to me. The feeling of blissful fulfillment was finally here. Suddenly, everything made sense. I knew what I came here to do: to create art, to help people heal, and to explore the mysterious and fascinating relationship between creativity and healing.
Today, I am excited to call myself an artist and a holistic counselor.
As an artist, I follow my intuitive urges and try to focus more on the creative experience rather than the final product. For me, my art practice is also my meditative and spiritual practice, during which I attempt to connect to something bigger than myself. As I let go of control, take risks on canvas, and trust the creative process, my pieces emerge into what they wish to become. Usually, into whimsical, colorful, intuitive, and abstract images inspired by nature and feminine energy.
As a counselor, I guide my clients back to their holistic wellness. I help them understand that they are multidimensional beings with layers of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects to themselves. The foundation of my work is healing the wounded inner child and assisting my clients in recognizing how this wounding affected their lives. I believe, that wholeness is not cutting off a portion of one’s being, but it is the integration of all aspects of oneself, even the broken, imperfect ones, that creates a true, whole human being.
It is my absolute pleasure to gather people together for transformative experiences. I enjoy creating workshops and retreats during which participants have a chance to reconnect with their creativity and heal their wounded parts along the way.
